It’s very easy to become disoriented with Internet Marketing, with other Internet marketers telling you that this or that is the Golden key to riches. Unfortunately, you don’t know where to do to start, or even what to do to get better results?
Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right..
Now think about all those different ways people are telling you use, and how many you have tried? Now ask yourself if any of those programs have actually made you any money??
More than likely the answer to this question is no, it always is. Don’t worry, you know there has to be the right answer and there is. Let’s just figure out where you are at right now.
For the beginners: Did you purchase your own domain name yet? Do you have a website? Even a free one somewhere? Did you buy an auto responder?
Intermediate: Did you even start to build your email list? How is your auto responder setup? Do you promote many different products, or the same one to the same list?
Advanced: How responsive is your list? What is your SERP? How much money do you get back for every $100 spent on advertising? How much money are you making every month?
Now this is just a short list of questions, there are a lot more, but this should have your wheels turning.
To improve on these things you need to look at how well you are executing the basics How much time are you devoting to improving the things that support your Internet empire. And how much wasted time do you lose trying the next big thing like you just read in the email you got.
Just so you know, most of the “new” programs and services that you read about online everyday, are nothing more than fluffed up stuff of the things that really work.
If your online business is not where you thought it would be by now, then you need to take a step back and figure out why, and then take the appropriate steps to change what you are doing and devote time to do what really works.
So how do you prioritize your time? Keep a ledger of everything that needs to be done and allot a time frame for each step. Now this may not sound very cool but it works and has worked for a lot of people for a very long time.
This is really simple to do, the question is are you going to do it to improve your Internet business.
You need to set time aside everyday to improve on something that needs improvement, this could be as simple as taking a look at your website and figuring out how best to do some search engine optimization on it to help boost your rank in the search engine results.
Improve the sales copy on your website, submit at least 1 article a day to as many article directories you can find, and be active in forums related to your niche products.
Now all of these basic things will make you money. Now that you are making money simply because you got back to the basics of Internet marketing, you can begin adding new ways of advertising and see if they improve your traffic and sales. Before you start with a new program ask yourself if the new program is something you can do everyday, if so give them a shot.
If you write down your goals in your journal you will also need to write down what actions you need to take to reach your goals, and spend more time working on your Internet empire than reading email’s that are making other people money.
Once you begin to start making more money online than you ever have before you will find these steps a pleasure to do everyday, and that will lead you to a new level of business. So be kind to yourself, decide exactly what you want to do, decide when you are going to do it and then do it.
