If you were facing your enemy on a field of battle, would you want to do so with a gun, a knife, a tank, or perhaps a large ferocious army on your side that felt the same way you do?
The thought of doing battle whether against a man, a tribe of termites eating our house, or those two feet high weeds in our garden, we want with us the heaviest duty weaponry that is appropriate for the cause and we want it right now.
With the economy putting more pressure on families just to stay afloat while the Internet is making overnight millionaires, another challenge has been thrown onto the table. How does an individual achieve their own personal success? How do they put their feet on the path to prosperity?
Lots of people these days swear by their personal financial advisors, mixed portfolios and software created just for them to optimize their personal assets and capitalize on them. When arming themselves, though, many leave behind the most important item – the words of truth that help them make the most of their arsenal.
The Truth is the Most Important Weapon you have
Any martial arts instructor will tell you that it makes no difference how may weapons you have decorating your den walls if you don’t know how to use them. A sword is just a hunk of metal unless it is in the capable hands of one who knows how to use it and use it well. A gun is a bunch of metal parts. This weaponry may seem intimidating, but in the hands of someone who has no clue how to use them, they are worthless pieces of junk.
The most important step on the path of success is the training, learning the techniques that will take you from where you are now to where you want to be. In this case we’re not just talking about learning how to balance a checkbook or read trends on the stock market. We’re not talking about devouring every self-help book in the self-help section of your local bookstore.
What we are talking about here is far more important than that. We are talking about learning lessons of truth that form our lives. Philosophers have been saying throughout millenniums that the only thing limiting your success is reining in your innate imagination. Somewhere out there is the road to success for each and every one of us, all we need do is discover it and believe it when we do.
Sit down and listen to these words. Arm yourself with their timely, unending truths. Then, and only then, will you truly have the tools you need to find your success in whatever you choose to do in life.
